We stayed a weekend back in June and had wonderful time and knew we wanted to come back. Well we did and boy was it a different trip. We checked in and my husband ask if he could cut up some dead limbs laying around for camp fire and the lady said yes. She told us all 4 wheels had to be on the asphalt when we got set up and I ask "on camper"? And she said yes. We get everything all set up and my husband gets out his chain saw he brought to cut up the limbs and a man came over and told him he couldn't use a chain saw and we said ok. He then tells us none of our vehicles can be off of asphalt. We drive 2 trucks one to pull our boat and one to pull our camper. The camp spot is only enough asphalt for camper and one truck and he told us we would have to take the boat and other truck to day use and leave them which is not gated. We were here for my husband to fish a tournament which was starting in an hr so we told them he didn't have time to take everything down and move before the tournament. Well since it was a misunderstanding they agreed to let us leave it til morning but then we will have to pull camper to a double spot and pay double price in order to have all 4 wheels on all vehicles camper and boat on asphalt. We will not be back to clear creek again. When we stayed a month ago people were parked all over the place on the side of the road visiting camp sites and hanging out and now they want to bring up all these rules.
The lake is beautiful.
It was amazing I’d definitely go back

On 7/13/17 we arrived to camp here a few nights it was later in the day-6 pm ish. Had my 78 year old mother and 75 year old stepfather in their camper and my husband and I with our 3 small kids in our camper. We wanted 2 spots close together where the two elders could walk on pavement back and forth. Asked the check in lady if we could just go see sites and come back to pay. She said yes and that spots 9 and 10 were good choices and were open. We pulled straight there, decided they would work. Got the elders unhooked, set up, headed to bed. Then we unhooked our large camper and hooked up elec so my husband could start supper for our little kids ages 3,5, & 6. I was back in truck going to pay, around 30 minutes had passed since we pulled in. And another camper pulled up, a lady jumped out saying we were in her spot and got rather loud and ugly. I proceeded to go back to office to see what was going on. Apparently they had just rented that site to another couple knowing we were down there already setting up. I was devastated because they would not honor what they originally said. Kept spouting rules that we had not been told when we first passed through. I even called the campground manager in but she also just kept saying they had paid so it was there site. We ended up and had to pack up and move our elderly parents, and then pack up and move our own site. It was a horrible situation that should have been handled totally different. We won't be back. There are many nicer friendlier cleaner campgrounds locally where people are considered not the bottom line. Shame on the office staff, campground manager, and hateful people in general we had to deal with on that horrible night.
Quiet, Peaceful, Serene. Lots of Shade
Very nice. Bath house clean. Friendly staff.
Top of my list.
Lakeside lots are full price as are double lots.
One night stay midweek.
